This is the journey of a blocked frustrated perfectionistic uninspired artist. Perhaps my posts will slap you awake with inspiration imagination and new ways of enjoying the creative process. And if that doesn't work, at least there are beautiful painted women to peek at throughout the history of art.
I am from New York City and I've been an artsy fartsy person since the age of 5. It's really simple. I draw pretty pictures. No more, no less. Although my style and subject matter is ecclectic, my passionate recipe consists of women, world culture, and pin-ups from a Latin perspective cooking up the visual feast of "Riceandbeanz".
Buen provecho.

Thursday, June 25, 2009 at 04:10PM It is so strange to see just how many publications were hand painted during the early to mid century. This generation of artists were almost wiped out when photography became in fashion. Unfortunately I do not have the illustrators' names for these covers. I can't imagine how little these artists were paid for such cheaply sold material. Look at those prices.
